Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for repairs, warranties, buying and selling devices, and using this website.
Effective and last updated
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or have B.I.T.S. PC & Wireless Repair, a DBA of B.I.T.S. PC Repair, LLC (“BITS,” “we,” “us”), repair, buy, sell or trade a device. By using the site or leaving a device with us, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle your information. If a repair ticket or receipt has specific terms, those apply to that job too.
2. Independent repair shop
BITS is an independent repair shop. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, certified by or endorsed by any device manufacturer, and brand names are used only to identify the devices we work on.
Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer generally can’t void your warranty just because an independent shop repaired your device, but it may decline to cover damage caused by a third-party repair or part. If your device is still under a manufacturer’s warranty or a protection plan, check its terms first.
3. Diagnostics, quotes and payment
- Diagnostics are free. If we can’t fix it, you don’t pay — no fix, no fee.
- We give you a quote before any work starts. If we find something that changes the price, we ask before going ahead.
- Prices on this website are starting prices for common repairs and can change; your written quote is what you pay, plus applicable sales tax.
- Payment is due when you pick up your device. We may hold the device until the invoice is paid.
4. Your device and your data
- Back up first. Repairs can, rarely, lead to data loss. Please back up your device before bringing it in. Except where caused by our gross negligence or intentional fault, we aren’t responsible for lost data. Data recovery results can’t be guaranteed.
- Passcodes. Sharing a passcode lets us test the repair fully. It’s optional, and we use it only for your repair.
- Existing damage. Devices that are cracked, bent, liquid-damaged or previously opened can have hidden problems that appear or worsen during a repair. We’ll tell you about known risks before we start.
- Water resistance. Opening a device may reduce its factory water and dust resistance.
- Ownership. You confirm that you own the device or are authorized to have it repaired.
5. Parts
We use quality replacement parts, which may be original-manufacturer, refurbished or high-quality aftermarket parts; ask us which option your quote uses. Some manufacturers’ software may display a notice that a part isn’t genuine or is unknown; this doesn’t affect how the part works. Replaced parts are recycled unless you ask to keep them.
6. Repair warranty
- Phone and tablet screens: lifetime warranty against defects in the part or our workmanship.
- Batteries and charging ports: 90 days.
- Computer repairs: 90 days on parts and labor.
- Virus and malware removal: 30-day free re-clean if the same infection comes back.
Warranties start on the pickup date, cover the part we replaced and our work, and don’t cover new accidental damage (drops, cracks, liquid), misuse, or repairs by anyone else afterward. Bring your device and receipt to the shop for a warranty claim. These warranties are in addition to any rights you have under Louisiana law.
7. Picking up your device
We’ll contact you when your device is ready, using the details you gave us. If a device isn’t collected within 90 days after we’ve notified you and made a further attempt to reach you, it may be treated as abandoned and recycled or disposed of as Louisiana law allows, after any data on it is securely erased.
8. Buying, selling and trading devices
- Pre-owned devices are described as accurately as we can and come with the warranty stated in the listing. Online “reservations” hold a device for in-store inspection and payment; nothing is charged online.
- When you sell or trade a device to us, you confirm you own it outright, it isn’t lost or stolen, and it’s free of finance, carrier or activation locks. As required by Louisiana secondhand-dealer law, we record your government ID and the device details, and we cooperate with law enforcement on stolen property.
- Offers and trade-in values are estimates until we inspect the device.
9. Calls, texts and email
By giving us your phone number for a repair or quote, you agree that we may call or text you about that job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. We send marketing texts only with your prior express written consent, and consent isn’t a condition of any purchase.
10. Using this website
You agree not to misuse the site — for example by trying to break its security, scraping it in bulk, submitting false or harmful content, or using it for anything unlawful. Content is provided for general information and may contain errors; we may correct it at any time. Links to other sites, including our booking and check-in pages, are provided for convenience, and those sites have their own terms.
The site’s text, design, logo and images belong to B.I.T.S. PC Repair, LLC. Other brand names and trademarks belong to their owners, as credited at the bottom of each page.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The website is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a repair or purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including liability for intentional or gross fault or for physical injury (Louisiana Civil Code article 2004), or any rights you have as a consumer under federal or Louisiana law.
12. Governing law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please talk to us first — most problems are solved with a call. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana and applicable federal law. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Bossier Parish, Louisiana, including small claims court, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
13. Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website. It is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. If anything is hard to use, call or text (318) 562-3090 or email support@bitspcrepair.com and we’ll help you directly and fix the problem.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in effect when you leave a device applies to that repair. Questions? B.I.T.S. PC Repair, LLC dba B.I.T.S. PC & Wireless Repair, 1701 Old Minden Rd, Suite 22, Bossier City, LA 71111 · support@bitspcrepair.com · (318) 562-3090.
